About
Art is a universal language that brings people together and each artwork I create takes on a life of its own.
I have exhibited in Germany, New York, New Zealand and Hawaii. My artistic style is abstract, my compositions contrast carefully selected materials which incorporate structural elements that are based on anthropometric relationships to achieve a unique visual and spatial balance. Balance and time are recurring themes.

When I returned to Hawaii I was drawn to the Sculptural Abstract Expressionist Style of New York. I worked on my college fine arts degrees in the 1970s and was involved in student art shows while at the University of Hawaii. My art lineage is based on the works of Marc Chagall, Auguste Rodin, Constantin Brancusi, Isamu Noguchi, David Smith, Tony Smith, George Rickey, Mark di Suvero, Mamoru Sato and Fred Roster.
